My Top 5 Favorite Christian Apps

...whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

We use our phone to stay connected to the world through calls, texts, social media, etc.
We just can't "miss" anything
Why not use our phones to stay connected to the living Word of God?
After all, our most important connection is to JESUS.
There are so many apps out there in the cyber world and below are just a few apps I love to use on my iPhone and a few new apps I have recently discovered.
(Most of the apps can be found on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

1. YouVersion Bible App
Start here.
I love the devotionals/reading plans and the many versions of the Bible that are included making it easy to understand and follow. Oh, and it's all FREE.

2. GotQuestions.org
I was lead to this app by my sister-in-Christ who is further along in the Faith than me. I love this app because it breaks down the bible and the context soundly, discusses worldly views and how to combat them with what God says, plus much more.
People have many answers and interpretations to the Word but the Holy Spirit, our teacher, will always lead you to the TRUE answer.
This app is also FREE.

3. Desiring God (Solid Joys + Sermon Apps)
I LOVE this website. I love the teachings of John Piper and his associates.  I was so glad when I found out they provided easy-to-navigate apps to listen to sermons and read the articles posted on the site. All of the desiringgod.org apps are FREE.

4. iHeart Radio
This is not a "Christian" app per say, but I love to use it to listen to a few favorite Christian radio stations across the U.S. This app is FREE.

5. Abide Prayer - Christian Meditation
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. - Joshua 1:8
This app is full of calming prayers and guided scriptural meditation. I found this app a few years ago actually, and it has helped me to remember scripture and gets my day started the right way. The basic version is FREE but contains In-App Purchases.

BONUS: A new app that I have recently come upon is the Memoirs Of A Virtuous Woman app. I haven't really started delving into it just yet but I have read a few articles that were on point! Christian women have to stick by each other (As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. - Proverbs 27:17) and this app is a great carrier of that message. This app is also FREE.

What are some of your favorite Christian apps?
